New ID Studios is the result of the inspiration and experience of two of the UK's leading names in the hair, beauty and cosmetics business, and incorporates the power of three great brands into a singularly unique and truly beautiful business opportunity.
Driven by his vision of providing the perfect hairdressing experience to every client and his passion for excellence, Clive Colman launched Burlington's in 1983 and has built one of the most fashionable salons in the UK, famous for its Award winning styles and service.
As Clive was building his acclaim through Burlingtons, Kelly Colman was making her name as a leading international model and professional dancer. Her own drive to succeed, combined with her deep knowledge and contacts in the fashion and beauty business took Kelly from the catwalk to the boardroom, and the running of her own successful business.
With Clive's expertise in hair and styling, and Kell's in modelling and photo shoots, they knew they could collaborate on something unique.
New ID Studios was born. It was a concept that gave everyone - men, women, friends and families - the opportunity to be photographed looking their best. Customers simply booked an appointment in one of their studios, had their hair styled by a Burlington's stylist when they arrived, their make-up applied by a New CID Cosmetics makeup artist and their pictures taken by a New ID Studios professional photographer.
Ten years on and the business today is thriving with 50,000 people photographed last year in the United Kingdom alone.
It was this business that recently led to their next big venture, New CID Cosmetics. The skilled make-up artists at New ID Studios were making up so many women but then sending them to department stores to buy other make-up. So starting an innovative and dynamic new cosmetics line was a natural fit with the New ID Studios and Burlingtons business. New CID Cosmetics is fast becoming a singularly successful business in its own right, with the cosmetics customer base growing well beyond the New ID Studio clientele. Thanks to headline-grabbing products, celebrity fans and quirky, affordable concepts that keep stomping all over the competition.
With seven of their own studios in the UK and concessions in major departments stores like House of Fraser and Debenhams, New ID Studios have now adopted the strategy of franchising to grow and replicate their success around the world.
